 The book covers the basic components of EC law (sources, principles and effectiveness) followed by the main elements of the Internal Market: the free movement of goods, persons, and services together with the freedom of establishment. A presentation of the fields of competition law and sex discrimination completes the volume. In each Chapter, students and practitioners are introduced to actual cases in order to exemplify how the European Court of Justice has used its powers to create and interpret EC law: an explanation of the actual impact of these decisions is reinforced with relevant extracts from the Court’s own judgements.
